Cracked Chocolate Cookies

The other night, I was having a chocolate craving so, I was digging through my freezer and found a bag of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips. Looking through my collection of recipes, I found the perfect recipe to use the semi-sweet chips with. 

Cracked Chocolate Cookies.

These cookies consist of chocolate dough rolled into powdered sugar. Super simple and if you are craving chocolate, these are perfect to make.

Cracked Chocolate Cookies

Cracked Chocolate Cookies
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Additional Time 5 minutes
Total Time 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

Combine brown sugar, butter, water, and vanilla in large bowl. Beat until well blended. Add eggs, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, salt, and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed just until blended. Stir in miniature chocolate chips. Shape dough into rounded tablespoons and roll in powdered sugar. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes.

Let cool on pan for 2 minutes then place on cooling rack.
